It’s not uncommon for an innocent, unsuspecting civilian who, by sheer coincidence fits the vague, yet physical description of a wanted person to come in contact with police. If this happens to you and you’re not aware of what you should do, such chance encounters of mistaken identity with the police can and has resulted in tragic, yet very avoidable consequences.

Imagine one second you’re walking down street without a care in the world and the next thing you know the police roll up on you, guns drawn, as they bark commands and instructions at you? Would you even know what to do?

Because a lot can go wrong QUICKLY, it is imperative that all parties involved simply SLOW DOWN!

Through a series of interactive, educational dramatizations and role-playing, the POP initiative will not only facilitate a long overdue and substantive dialogue between the community and its local law-enforcement, but play a major role in repairing the epidemically strained relationship between Police and the community they serve, while ultimately saving lives on both sides of the badge.

LAW ENFORCEMENT

An extra layer will be added to the already proactive and positive sensitivity training of our Law Enforcement Officers. POP will bridge the gap between the community and its Police Departments by eliminating various false beliefs, which continue to feed on the community’s ignorance to the law and mutual police and citizen misperceptions.
